Dawn and James Brathovde

Dawn began riding at a young age when her family got two horses and a pony. Her love for horses and the outdoors grew as she and her dad spent time in the woods trail riding and camping. Dawn took riding lessons as Casa K Paso in Kent for years. While in college, she spent many years teaching beginner riding lessons at Black Diamond Camps (formerly Camp Berachah Ministries). She has been CHA certified and briefly worked under Shannon King in Cle Elum, Washington. Dawn now cares for her senior horse she bought 16 years ago. As an educated professional with a high stress job, she finds a deep relief and joy working at the barn that has been her life long dream, made possible by her husband James.

James, commonly known as Jamie, is the ultimate jack-of-all-trades. He has worked his adult life as a heavy truck diesel mechanic. A love of all things outdoors and also machines drew him into off-road motocross for many years. He also picked up snowmobiling and made this a new passion! While working full-time at a busy and physically demanding job, Jamie came home and built a mile and a half of cedar split rail fencing and our 5 stall barn mostly by himself on the evenings and weekends. Jamie has an exceptional attention to detail and believes all things should be done the right way. He has high standards and every day strives to improve this place we call home. Jamie has turned a blank canvas property into a beautiful equestrian getaway with his two hands.

Our barn, and this website is currently under construction.

Please be patient while we tie up loose ends and add those fantastic finishing touches.
